The child of a millennia

Today I kneel, alone, on a ground of wet ashes and cold blades,
Today I fail to provoke my imagination to dream of better shades,
Today I lose the meaning I had for the sun, and I join an army of night slaves,
Today, I stay, weakened by the rain pouring of my broken strength and countless flames,
Today I lay in a bed of drying blood and cutting swords.

Now I stand alone, tortured in silence, torn between many shames,
And I stand…alone and cold, waiting for a word of remembrance from your lips,
I stand today, bandaged with wounds, and bleeding tears,
Alone, I stand… and I kneel.

Let me hold your grace in its place,
Let me hold your heart as you put it in my chest,
Let me have your voice soothing my nightmare,
And tell me I will meet you once again,
Let me hold your hand and feel the life inside rushing,
Let me feel your breath on my cheeks blushing,
Let me tell you a word of a comforting hushing,
Let me lay in this cradle, and feel your only embrace.

Tell me when have I became so fragile,
Tell me why haven't you warned me of a coming revolution,
One of pure imprisoned freedom and burned faith,
Tell me when am I going to stand again,
Tell me when can I foresee again.
And tell me then I'm yours and I'm not going to travel.

Hold me and wipe away this conspiring dust that blinds my welling,
Tell me to stop this bleeding and water it with my tears,
Let me burst from this ground I'm buried in,
And then let me color with brighter shades.

Today I stand within a castle,
And I will only speak when my army finds this rebel,
Help me find the heart I have murdered cowardly and buried in rubble.

Hold your fire, and kneel with me,
Tell me I'm not lost today,
Find me a place to stay, out of all the walls that encapsulate me,
Let me hold the torch, and run with it,
Till I reach an ocean of oil and fire it,
Find me a lighthouse and I'll follow it,
Let me read the past and live it,
Forever and ever,
Young, clueless and restless
Find me the way to be it,
The child of a millennia…
